Requirements for the Application Outside North America

* Applicants residing outside North America must complete a separate application process and they must undergo a Screening Audition. 

* In addition to the Master Application fee, a separate $90 fee will be charged for the screening audition process.      

* The screening audition will be conducted in cooperation with Ikita Malaysia.

1. Applicants must have been born after Mar 14th, 2007, and on or before Mar 18th, 2015
2. Screening Audition Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. PST on Saturday, November 30, 2024. No late or partial applications will be accepted.
3. The Master Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. PST on Friday, January 31, 2025. No late or partial applications will be accepted.
4. All applicants must submit a nonrefundable fee of Ninety USD ($90). Payment will be taken on the final page of the application; applications cannot be submitted without payment. (NOTE: The application fee will be considered as a donation and it is tax deductible).
5. Applicants will not be allowed to complete the Application unless all information and payment is complete.
6. Applicants should retain copies of all materials sent with their Applications.
7. Hi-Am Music Competition reserves the right to request additional information from or about an applicant.

             Applicants will include uploads of:

• Birth certificate or equivalent proof of age.
• At least two high resolution photographs (at least 300dpi), including one color headshot looking directly at the camera and one image that can be cut to extreme horizontal, suitable for publishing.
• Biography (curriculum vitae) listing details of musical education (schools, teachers, and relevant dates), prizes won at other Competitions and any additional information such as repertoires, concerts, and masterclasses you have participated in.

              Screening Auditions

• Applicants must submit a 10-15 minute video repertoire of their own choice for the screening audition, featuring at least two contrasting pieces. The submitted videos will be reviewed by the screening jury, which will select candidates to participate in the live competition in Los Angeles. 
• Participants must upload their video performances to WeTransfer or YouTube and share the link with us (for uploading to YouTube, please ensure that your videos are set to 'unlisted').
• Please ensure that the video performances for the screening audition have been recorded within the last 6 months.
• Please note that the pieces do not need to be recorded in a single video. You may submit separate videos for each piece.
• Competitors are allowed to repeat a maximum of one piece from their screening audition program in their competition performance.
