The necessary documents for participation must be received by January 31st.
All the applicants pay a nonrefundable application fee of $80.
All the repertoires are to be performed from memory.
For a piano competition dress code, formal slacks are acceptable for both genders although, for female participants, short skirts above the knee are generally not appropriate. One should avoid stilettos, open toe heels, flip flops, and platform shoes.
The order of performances of pianists will be determined by a drawing conducted by the Competition Officials on the opening day of the Competition.
The Competition winners can be requested to play several concerts in benefit of the Competition.
All the participants are obliged to take part in the closing concert and be present at the award ceremony.
For as long as the pianists are active in the Competition, they shall not be permitted to contact or speak with any members of the Jury.
The Jury members will not contact the competitors while they are active in the Competition.
All organizational decisions concerning the Competition remain within the responsibility of the Competition Directors.
The Directors reserve the right to make all of the final decisions in the event of any misunderstanding.
By signing the application form, the participants (parents or the trustee) declare that they agree with the terms and conditions of the Competition.
Total performance times include applause and pauses and will be strictly enforced.
The Jury retains the right to stop a performance if the pianist exceeds the allotted time.
Repeats are at the discretion of the pianist to remain within the time limit.
In the Senior Group Category, the Jury will advance six (6) pianists to the Final Round.
The Competition will be held in the library of the Armenian Society of Los Angeles.
